Jetstrip Antifouling Stripper is a next-generation gelled formula designed to efficiently and effectively remove old antifouling layers from boat hulls. Ideal for hard matrices and difficult-to-remove coatings, it is also suitable for semi-erodible and erodible matrices. The gelled consistency ensures the product remains active longer and can be applied to vertical surfaces without running. Once the coating is dissolved, it can be easily removed with a paint knife, significantly reducing renovation time.

  • Gelled Formula: Prevents running and extends active time.
  • Stripping Without Scraping: Eliminates the need for tedious scraping, making the process faster and easier.
  • Non-Aggressive to Substrates: Safe for use on gelcoat without causing damage.
  • Suitable for Large Surfaces: Effective on both vertical and horizontal surfaces, including intricate substrates.
  • Versatile Use: Compatible with a wide range of materials such as gelcoat, polyester, wood (excluding certain species like oak, chestnut, red cedar, marquetry, and aluminum), PVC, and metals (except aluminum).

Technical Specifications:

  • Application Method: Apply using a wallpaper paste brush or a synthetic nylon brush.
  • Coverage: Approximately 4 m²/L.
  • Working Time: 5 to 10 minutes per stripping layer.
  • Optimal Application Conditions: Apply between 15°C and 27°C (60°F and 80°F).
  • Cleaning: After removal, rinse thoroughly with water, preferably using a high-pressure jet (max. 50 bars).

Materials:

  • Compatible Substrates: Gelcoat, polyester, wood (excluding certain species like oak, chestnut, red cedar, marquetry, and aluminum), PVC, and metals (except aluminum).
  • Antifouling and Paints: Ideal for removing glycerophthalic paints, alkyds, urethane alkyds, and antifoulings.

For optimal results, ensure the surface is clean and dry before application. Always follow safety guidelines and wear appropriate protective equipment during application.
