The Erodable Antifouling Matrix with Teflon - Fast Shield is a high-performance antifouling paint designed to protect your boat's hull from marine fouling. Manufactured in France by JET BLACK, this product combines advanced technology with user-friendly application to ensure optimal performance.

  • Erodable Matrix Technology: The antifouling layer gradually erodes in water, allowing the fouled film to dissolve through friction and making way for a fresh layer.
  • Teflon Integration: Incorporates Teflon to reduce friction, enhancing the boat's glide and speed.
  • Double Biocide and High Copper Content: Offers effective protection against algae, barnacles, crustaceans, and other marine organisms that can attach to the hull and cause damage.
  • Compatibility: Suitable for all types of boats, whether motorized or sailing, and for all types of substrates, including wood, steel, and polyester. Not compatible with aluminum hulls.
  • Easy Application: Provides a coverage of 8-10 m² per liter, facilitating straightforward application.
  • Color Options: Available in black, sky blue, navy blue, and grey.

Application Instructions

  1. Preparation: Ensure the surface is clean and dry. Sand the hull to remove any existing antifouling layers and to promote adhesion.
  2. Application: Apply using a brush, roller, airless sprayer, or pneumatic gun. Depending on the material, dilute with 0% to 15% special antifouling thinner.
  3. Conditions: Apply between 10°C and 30°C.
  4. Coverage: Achieves a theoretical coverage of 8 to 10 m² per liter.
  5. Drying Time: Allow a minimum of 6 hours before launching. For optimal results, a 24-hour drying period is recommended.
  6. Coats: Apply two coats for standard protection. In sensitive areas (e.g., waterline, rudder), apply a third coat.
