Compatibility Information:

Compatible with various substrates, including wood, metal, polyester, and concrete. For optimal adhesion, it is recommended to use a Jet Black primer on exposed areas.

Application Instructions:

  1. Surface Preparation:
    • Good Condition: Clean with a suitable detergent, rinse with fresh water, and let dry. Sand with abrasive grade 280/320.
    • Poor Condition: Remove all old coatings. Apply primer to exposed areas. Sand with abrasive grade 80/180, followed by sanding with abrasive grade 220.
    • Metal Surfaces: Degrease with cleaning solvent. Sand with abrasive paper grade 180/220. Clean thoroughly and let dry. Apply primer to exposed areas.
  2. Application:
    • Method: Apply by brush, roller, airless, or pneumatic spray gun.
    • Thinning: If necessary, thin with Jet Black thinner between 5% and 20%, depending on the equipment used.
    • Coats: Apply 2 to 3 coats, allowing adequate drying time between each.
  3. Drying Times:
    • Tack-Free: 90 minutes
    • Recoat Time: Allow sufficient time for each coat to dry before applying the next.
