ULTRA 300 Hard Matrix Antifouling

The Ultra 300 is a high-performance hard matrix antifouling providing ideal protection for motorboats or fast sailing boats for 1 year, even in the worst fouling conditions.

Ultra 300 is an effective antifouling against marine organisms; greasy film, and both plant and animal fouling.

A premium hard matrix antifouling designed for leisure boaters and professionals.

Effective in both fresh water and seawater.

The hard and sandable finish allows for antifouling performance lasting up to 12 months.

Ultra 300 can be sanded to provide a smoother finish allowing for optimal glide in the water. Ideal for fast boats.

Preparation

SURFACE ALREADY COATED WITH ANTIFOULING PAINT

In good condition: 

Any surface dirt or contamination must be carefully removed, as well as the inert layer.

Perform a high-pressure wash with fresh water (3000 psi/207 bar) and/or scraping and wet sanding using abrasive paper grade P80-120.

Do not sand dry.

If the old antifouling is incompatible or unknown, isolate it with International Primocon.

In poor condition:

Remove all traces of old antifouling using Interstrip.

PRIMER: 

The surface preparation of bare supports is indicated on the technical data sheets of the relevant primers.

BARE POLYESTER: 

Use Interprotect or Primocon as a primer coat.

STEEL/CAST IRON/LEAD/WOOD:

Use Interprotect or Primocon as a primer coat.

Advice

Mixing: 

Before use, mix the product thoroughly until a homogeneous consistency is achieved.

Dilution: 

Dilution is not recommended.

The performance of the antifouling may be compromised if the required dry thickness is not applied.

Cleaner: 

YTA085 Thinner No. 3

Compatibility/Supports

Suitable for polyester, wood, steel, and lead.

Do not use on aluminium/light alloys or galvanized surfaces.

Can be directly applied over most antifoulings, provided they are in good condition, except for VC17m/PTFE antifoulings.

Number of Coats brush/roller:

Apply 2 coats of 60 microns dry for 12 months (total dry thickness of 120 microns).
