This single-speed winch is ideal for quickly adjusting the sheets of small pleasure sailing boats, as well as for tensioning halyards and handling the adjustment sheets of boats up to 9 m.

The Harken Radial 15 winch, with its aluminium drum and self-tailing configuration, is designed to optimise the shock under load.

Its maximum holding power and minimal wear on the line make this winch a reliable choice for sailors.

Radial winches feature a drum with a surface that has non-abrasive diagonal ribs that increase holding power while reducing line wear.

On some winches, the sheet turns tend to rise during shock: The operation of the Radial grip is similar to that of a screw: during shock, it keeps the sheet turns on the lower part of the drum, without overloading, for perfect control.

The self-tailing mechanism allows a crew member to hoist or adjust the sails easily and quickly on their own.

The very durable monoblock self-tailing finger completely covers the upper part and does not rotate, preventing any snagging of hands or clothing by moving parts.

Allowing for multiple adjustment positions after the winch is installed, the finger has a shape that facilitates the insertion and extraction of the line from the jaws of the self-tailing mechanism.

The winch accepts lines from 6 to 10 mm.

Under the pressure of the line, the upper jaw mounted on springs automatically adjusts to allow for its locking.

The corrosion-resistant composite bearing withstands high loads and requires no lubrication.

The gears and shafts that bear the loads are made of 17-4 PH stainless steel.

Thanks to Harken's patented stud mounting system, the winch can be easily installed by one person on a pre-drilled deck, without the need to remove the drum. The drum disassembles in one piece, simplifying maintenance and speeding up reassembly.

The single speed and power ratio of 16.90 ensure easy and efficient handling.
