GT51 M - 2D Chirp / DownVü / SideVü Transom or Through-Hull Transducer - GARMIN
There are 3 models of the GT51 M transducer.
1/ A transom transducer:
Transom transducer optimized for deep water and challenging conditions.
It provides optimal rendering of underwater bottoms, submerged structures, and fish.
Designed to operate in DownVü CHIRP / SideVü CHIRP mode (260/455kHz), it offers a power of 500W.
The traditional CHIRP mode offers a power of 600W and operates on the frequency band: 80-160kHz.
2/ A through-hull transducer:
Through-hull transducer optimized for deep water and challenging conditions.
It provides optimal rendering of underwater bottoms, submerged structures, and fish.
It offers a power of 500W in DownVü/SideVü CHIRP mode (260/455kHz).
The traditional CHIRP mode offers a power of 600W and operates on the frequency band: 80-160kHz.
Suitable for any type of hull with an inclination of less than 5°.
3/ Pack of two through-hull transducers:
Through-hull transducers optimized for deep water and challenging conditions.
They provide optimal rendering of underwater bottoms, submerged structures, and fish.
Designed to operate in ClearVü CHIRP / SideVü CHIRP mode (260/455kHz), they offer a power of 500W per element.
The traditional CHIRP mode offers a power of 600W and operates on the frequency band: 80-160kHz.
The pack of two through-hull transducers is suitable for any type of hull with an inclination between 6° and 25°.
Be sure to check the future position of your through-hull transducer based on the inclination of your hull: depending on the installation chosen and the type of your boat, you will need to use the pack of 2 through-hull transducers.
2D Chirp Function:
The fish finders operating with 2D chirp allow:
- better target definition
- more detailed target discrimination
- a clearer fish arch
ClearVü Chirp Technology
ClearVü™ technology provides a detailed image of the fishing environment around the boat and an accurate representation of structures beneath the boat.
Classic transducers emit a conical beam, the scanning sonar technology Garmin ClearVü™ emits two narrow beams whose rounded shape allows for scanning the bottom: These beams thus provide a clearer image of the environment beneath the boat.
SideVü Chirp Technology
The SideVü technology allows you to see the seabed on both sides of the boat at the same time.
With SideVü mode, you will obtain a nearly photographic quality image of what is happening beneath the hull of your boat.
SideVü mode displays structures, fish, and submerged objects with great clarity.
