Glossy Marine Varnish - 'le Tonkinois'

The marine varnish Le Tonkinois protects wood in a natural way

It is the ideal varnish for both outdoor and indoor use: No discolouration or cracking to fear.

For over 100 years, this varnish has been obtained by cooking resin at high temperature (270°C) to which a natural Chinese wood oil is added.

The result? A pure and quality product.

Resistant:

Strong resistance to weather, temperature differences, and UV rays.

Has excellent filling power, easy application in two coats, quick drying, and no odour.

Recommended for the maintenance of exotic woods, delicate or with fine patterns

Waterproof: 

 it beautifies, protects, and preserves wood, floors, and metals for a long time against UV aggression, temperature changes, and abrasion.

Has excellent filling power and a high dry extract.

Le Tonkinois is natural. It emits no vapour. 

 Ease of application:

Perfect adhesion on all vertical outdoor woods such as pine, Douglas fir, larch, red cedar, oak,… It preserves the original character of the substrates for a long duration in extreme climatic conditions

Clear varnish.

Field of application: exterior and interior woodwork, floors, degreased metals, boats.

Treated pieces can undergo twisting, shocks, stresses, and bending, Le Tonkinois does not crack.

Gelomat Specificities

The gelomat allows you to transform the glossy tonkinois varnish into a matte finish.

It is a phenolic varnish to be mixed with the varnish and applied as the last coat.
