The Deep Impact S rod from Okuma is a true war machine designed for heavy boat fishing. Compact, powerful, and responsive, it is the ideal tool for anglers practicing modern vertical techniques in search of the largest marine predators (pollack, cod, dentex, amberjack...).
Its 24T carbon blank, lightweight and reactive, features Okuma's cutting-edge UFR (Ultimate Flex Reinforcement) technology. This process reinforces the fibre in the tip of the rod, making it 3 times more resistant and giving it phenomenal lifting power, while maintaining the sensitivity needed for lure animation and bite detection.
With a maximum power of 180g, it allows the use of large jigs, heavily weighted soft lures, or "inchikus" without fear. The components are selected for their robustness and corrosion resistance, with Seaguide rings made of 316 stainless steel and an ergonomic EVA handle for optimal comfort during the most intense battles.
