The essential Saltiga evolves and brings together the latest Daiwa technologies for strong fishing. To meet the needs of all anglers, a new sizing system is applied to the Saltiga 2020 along with two types of handles offered.

The body of the Saltiga 2020 benefits from the latest Daiwa innovations: its Monocoque Body structure, made from a unique symmetrical machined piece, provides the reel with greater robustness. Fully constructed from aluminium, the strength of the body is enhanced. The control wheel encapsulated in the body is wider (46 mm) and thicker (8.7 mm) than the previous version of the Saltiga (2015) while being lighter due to its G1 dura-aluminium composition. To limit erosion, the reel is painted with 5 overlapping layers: anodisation, anti-static paint, primer, paint, and varnish. The aluminium Air Rotor is stiffer than the ZAION carbon and more powerful, making the pick-up arm more resistant. On either side of the control wheel, two MagSealed bearings ensure smoothness and waterproofing for the Saltiga. Mag Oil is found at the level of the pinion and the pick-up roller.
For strong fishing with complete peace of mind
The ATD (Automatic Tournament Drag) brake system now consists of 14 elements compared to 6 for the Saltiga 2015, making the Saltiga 2020 ten times more powerful and durable than its predecessor. The brake knob has also been redesigned: it gains in ergonomics thanks to its 42% widening. Just like the knob cover and the brake collar (two internal components), the brake knob is made of aluminium. This allows for heat transfer and dissipation, ensuring the smoothness and efficiency of the Saltiga. To adjust the brake precisely, the sound of the ratchet has been intensified. Ideal for tackling sport fish, the round or oval-shaped aluminium handle offers a powerful and comfortable grip. Still aiming to maximise the fishing experience, the Saltiga 2020 is equipped with an LC-ABS (Long Cast) spool that ensures smooth line release and reduces the risk of tangles. Another practical detail of the Saltiga 2020 is found in the pick-up, whose opening and closing are controlled by a ratchet that prevents the rotor from turning during a full cast.
