Polyester finishing putty above the waterline - Cabesto

Fine putty, easy to sand for filling cracks and hollows. 

It can be applied in any thickness on metal, laminate, wood or other putties. 

The area to be treated must be clean, dry, free of grease and previously sanded.

The working time is about 5 minutes at 20°C. 

Heat accelerates curing.

After 20 minutes, the surface is dry and sandable. 

The shelf life is 12 months in the original packaging.

Areas of application

- Leveling small and large irregularities on steel sheets and polyester laminate parts

- Repairing small scratches and damaged paint in the bodywork sector. The cured putty can be baked at a maximum of 80°C.

- Masking puttied surfaces that have been previously treated with filling putty or reinforced pastes. This results in a finer and less absorbent surface. It helps to fill any pores or irregularities still present in the base putty.

- Renovating aged surfaces affected by rust on other materials.

- Bonding wood, stone, metal and laminate parts resistant to light loads.

- Quick repair of localized damage on gelcoats of the same colour in areas exposed to the elements or on boats above the waterline. By covering the puttied surface with terphane film, a perfectly smooth surface is achieved after curing.

- Shaping contours and leveling mass in modelling and for repair work.

- Repairing impact points, chips and signs of degradation on wooden surfaces such as windows and doors as well as their frames before applying a new coat of paint.
