The new UP C4 fin using technopolymer blades and the 250 foot pocket is the result of a close collaboration between Umberto and C4.

New anatomical and lightweight C4 250 foot pocket, 3° angle

The UP fin uses the 250 foot pocket, the latest foot pocket developed by C4.
The use of TPE 75 ShA polymer overmoulded onto a rigid sole for the 250 foot pocket allows for a foot pocket that transmits energy to the blade in the most efficient way possible, to achieve a high-performance fin.
The reduced weight of the 250 foot pocket minimizes the energy of movement, allowing the user to save a lot of energy and consequently reduce muscle fatigue.
The connection between the foot pocket and the blade is rigid and solid thanks to the internal sole. It transmits energy to the blade effectively.
The assembly of the blade onto the foot pocket without stringers, already used by C4 since 2006, allows for the elastic recovery of the blade along its entire length.
The anatomical pre-forming at 3° of the 250 foot pocket makes it very easy to put on. The thinness allows it to adjust to the shape of the foot without exerting pressure.
The polymer used for the 250 foot pocket is very elastic, allowing for easy and simple donning, for more comfort. The sole provides a rigid yet comfortable foot pocket on the upper part.
The 250 foot pocket and the blade are assembled with a robust M6 screw. The assembly and disassembly are simple and quick to allow for reduced overall length for air transport.

Attack angle 32°, removable blade "carbon" look

The blade features a soft and shiny central band, from the foot pocket to the tip of the blade. The side parts have a “carbon look” finish. On the underside of the fin, the finish is completely reversed.
The tip of the blade is shaped like a whale tail. The blade measures 59cm in the middle and 62.5cm on the sides. The total length is 79.5cm for a maximum fin length of 91cm, including the foot pocket.
There are 2 ribs on the sides of the blades, those located on the top of the blade are 5cm longer. On the underside of the blade, there is a central rib running the entire length of the fin. On the underside of the blade, near the foot pocket, there are 2 ribs measuring 16cm in length, 15mm and 9mm in width, in a triangular shape. The thickness on the foot pocket side is 3.4mm, reducing to 1.6mm at the tip of the blade.
The angle of the blade is 29° plus the 3° from the foot pocket, for a total of 32°.
