Technical Information:

To apply the Futura high-gloss two-component marine paint from Boero, follow these steps:

1. Surface Preparation :

   • Painted Surfaces : Clean thoroughly to remove dirt and degrease. Sand the surface with 320/400 grit sandpaper, then clean and allow to dry.
   • Raw Surfaces : Degrease and clean thoroughly. Apply a primer such as Undercoat PRO, allow to dry, then sand with 320/400 grit sandpaper. Clean and allow to dry.

2. Product Mixing :

   • Mix the two components (resin and hardener) in the indicated ratio (usually 3:1).
   • Mix well until a homogeneous consistency is achieved.

3. Application :

   • Apply the paint using a brush, roller, or spray gun.
   • For brush or roller application, use cross passes for uniform coverage.
   • If using a spray gun, adjust the pressure and nozzle according to the manufacturer's recommendations.

4. Drying Time :

   • Allow the first coat to dry according to the recommended drying time (usually 8 hours at 15°C).
   • Lightly sand between coats if necessary.

5. Application of Subsequent Coats :

   • Apply one or two additional coats following the same steps.
   • Ensure that each coat is fully dry before applying the next.

6. Finishing :

   • Once the last coat is dry, lightly sand to achieve a smooth and glossy surface.
