The XTX Tungsten APEKS is integrated on the XTX200 platform but with one truly unique additional feature: it is protected by a hard coating, durable finish through physical vapour deposition (PVD). This ultra-resistant finish is better than traditional chrome plating on regulators. The external coating is made of high-quality titanium, zirconium, and chrome.
The result is not only extremely beautiful and elegant but also protects your investment from wear during regular dives.
Supplied with an MP hose equipped with a swivel joint.
Features an innovative Diver Changeable Exhaust (DCE) system (whiskers...). The system gives the diver the option to easily switch from a small exhaust diffuser to a large one. This provides the user with a choice, a wider exhaust diffuser to avoid being disturbed by bubbles (essential for underwater photography) and a narrow exhaust diffuser for a more compact and comfortable regulator. The regulator is supplied with both sets of exhaust diffusers.
- 5th MP port as standard. The 5th port also comes with an integrated heat exchanger.
- Can be converted from a right-hand hose configuration to a left-hand one. The process of changing the regulator to left-hand configuration is both simple and quick. However, this procedure must be performed ONLY by an authorised APEKS service technician.
- Available in DIN configuration.
- Braided hoses are now standard on all models. These hoses are lighter, more flexible, and more durable.
- Suitable for use in cold water (below 10°C).
- Compatible with EAN40 ready to use.
- First stage XTX: Unique overbalanced diaphragm design - the deeper the diver descends, the overbalancing function maintains a constant medium pressure and comfort regardless of ambient pressure (i.e., depth). This results in superior performance at depth.
- 2 HP ports and 4 MP ports are angled for optimal hose routing.
- 5th MP port incorporated into the design with an additional heat exchanger.
- A dry environmental system keeps water out of the main spring chamber, preventing ice build-up and keeping silt and contamination out.
- Second stage XTX: The pneumatically balanced second stage allows for free and comfortable breathing.
- The XTX purge buttons are large and easy to use. A two-step progressive purge is used - press the purge on the side for a lower flow, useful where more control is needed such as filling lift bags, etc., then press in the centre for full purge effect, i.e., when clearing the regulator, etc.
- The large venturi lever has a soft-touch rubber handle, making it easy to locate and use. The lever reduces sand ingress and thus resists any abrasion providing good operation.
- The easy-to-grip opening effort control button keeps the diver in control.
- The second stage is made with active infection protection as all moulded parts are produced with an additive that kills MRSA, protects against E-Coli, bacteria and fungi, and is also very effective against viruses, moulds, yeasts, and algae.
- A silicone exhaust valve enhances the breathing performance of the regulator.
